Home - Ed Hub

The Department of Education statistics show that around 240 children were taught at home in South Tyneside in the 2022-23 summer term; revealing that the largest reason for children being withdrawn from schools was for mental health reasons; this was the case for around 90% of families; the rest being unknown. Our Home-ed Hub will support up to 60 children aged 8-16 years within South Tyneside.

We designed this programme with the child at the core of everything we do, whilst also ensuring that young people are given an incredible toolset, to help in the education of key life skills across social, cultural, physical and psychological themes. Whilst the programme does indeed ensure that children learn how to stay safe from the dangers of the ever-changing world they’re growing up in, it also aims to instil a positive mindset change, giving children the skills they need to be great leaders of the future, in whatever they may decide to do.
